Money was difficult to come by in this area of the country. Construction jobs were mostly taken and everything else required that most precious commodity - the green card. There was always public assistance, but if the government knew about too much income, it would take away both assistance and medical benefits. Everything was to be earned in cash. Some of the younger girls found ways to earn cash by the oldest profession or by marrying a gringo. This was not possible for Edita. After three children her hips and breasts could no longer compete with the 18-22 year olds in short skirts and tight tops. Time could catch up to them, she thought.
There were other ways to make money: housekeeping and childcare. Housekeeping was usually dominated by older women, as they had no children to care for. Edita had a 1, 2 and 4 year old, so she could not do this. Besides, in her housing development, Rutgers Court, housekeeping was dominated by a tough 58 year old Dominican named Rita. She "staffed" the houses with her "ladies." You needed a maid - you went to see Rita. You did not want to independently contract, lest you incur Rita's wrath. It is the law of the jungle - kill or be killed. Edita knew well the story of Marita, a big Puerto Rican lady who moved from Spanish Harlem. Marita sent around fliers offering cleaning for "the lowest rates around." Needless to say, Rita was not pleased. She sent Marita a thinly veiled threat: a nipple wrapped in her flier. Marita was undeterred. She got several clients from Rita. When the clients told Rita they changed housekeepers, Rita simply accepted it and thanked them for their former patronage. Rita smiled to herself: those gringa bitches have no idea what is going on. They see polite, smiling, subservient brown skinned women. If they only knew the reality, they would never let them into their house.
A couple of weeks later, the same women were awaiting Marita's arrival to clean. She did not show up. No call. No notice. One woman, Gail, saw Rita walking to a client's house. Rita walked with a noticeable limp. Her eyes were blackened. Her left breast appeared to be bandaged to prevent leakage of blood and lymph. Gail was shocked at Rita's appearance, and asked what happened. Rita said she was mugged. Still, Gail wondered where was Marita.
Edita never forgot what happened next. Rutgers Court was abuzz. All of the brown-skinned ladies were muttering about something. Edita followed the crowd to a remote location at Rutgers Court by the dumpster. There, she found Marita. Everyone thought she was dead, but then someone noticed she was breathing shallowly. Her face was a mess - eyes blackened, cheeks scratched. Tufts of hair removed. (Rita , too, had bald spots, but her kerchief hid them from view.) However, that was the least of the carnage displayed on her body. In her mouth was a plastic bag containing her pubic hairs. The blood stains on her thighs and pussy indicate the hair was pulled out. Not wanting anyone to miss the message, a plunger was jammed in Marita's ass. It was later discovered that the plunger was first dipped in ammonia. Finally, and most horrifingly, in her left hand was a crumpled flier Marita had sent to her customers - wrapped in the flier was her nipple. Marita was not seen much after that, the beating having driven her partially mad. From time to time people would see her leaving Rita's home with cleaning supplies, apparently cleaning the dominant lady's home for free.
Should I continue with the story . . . ?

Please do go on with the story.
One of the most important things for me is the background of characters that will explain why they will put their bodies and even their lives at risk in frightful fights...
You have already provided enough background for a great fight, or succession of fights...
Do go ahead!
